LG Wing is scheduled to launch on October 28th, tomorrow in the country. The launch event will kick off at 11:30 AM-12:30 PM IST. The company sent an invitation to the media but does not give any information about the event. the invite with the hashtag #ExploretheNew, teases the LG Wing with its unique swivel design in the background. It was unveiled about a month ago and has since gone on sale in the US and South Korea.
LG Wing went on sale in South Korea for 1,098,990 won($940) and in the USA for $999.99. The price and availability in India yet to reveal, will have to wait till the launch event.
LG Wing specifications
LG Wing world’s first-ever swiveling phone that rotates to reveal a secondary display. LG Wing comes with a 6.8″ P-OLED main display which provides Full HD+ screen resolution and 20.5:9 aspect ratio. The secondary screen features a 3.9″ G-OLED display with Full HD + resolutions and a 1.15:1 aspect ratio therefore giving the smartphone a T-shape design. Both the screens have 395 and 419 PPI respectively. According to LG, this technology allows the LG Wing to last up to 200,000 turns.
LG Wing support 5G and powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset paired with Adreno 620 GPU, 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB storage options that are further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.
LG Wing has a triple-rear camera setup features a 64MP f/1.8 primary sensor, a 12MP f/1.9 ultra-wide with 120° FOV, and a 13MP f/1.9 sensor with 117° FOV. For the selfies, the LG Wing offers a 32MP front shooter with f/1.9 aperture.
The phone houses a 4,000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging and 10W wireless charging.LG Wing runs Android 10 out of the box. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port. The device weighs just 260grams and measures 169.5 x 74.5 x 10.9 mm. LG Wing is MIL-STD 810G compliant and has an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance.
